This is an awesome article (dated January 18, 2008)! If you aren't a couponer but have been thinking about trying it out or wondering "is it really worth it?" please take a few moments to read it.
Quoted from this article: "Whenever you see a sale item that you also have a coupon for, you’re usually doing quite well and can often get a pretty good item for just pennies – or at least far cheaper than the normal price and usually notably cheaper than the generic version."
This truly is the best time to get a great deal, especially if you combine a coupon with an item that is B1G1 (buy one, get one free). Example: Hunts Ketchup I recently purchased was $1.59, B1G1. This made one 0.79 cents and one 0.80 cents. That in itself is a good deal, however I used a $1.00 off coupon and got one for 0.29 cents and one for 0.30 cents! A little math goes a long way!
