There are many charities in your area you can find simply by using google. Here in Columbus, GA I've found Hope Harbour. Where do you buy your ink?

I've been purchasing my ink at Staples forever now and getting a pretty good deal. I always get a free pack of 4x6 photo paper when I purchase both the black and color ink. I noticed that one of our Wal-Marts has been stocking a lot more printer ink than they used to and they have my brand in now. I can purchase just the black ink for $21.00. Of course, I still have to make a trip to Staples to take my ink cartridge in for the $3.00 they'll send me back. Depending on coupons, rewards and such, purchasing ink at Walmart might be able to save you some money. It's worth at least checking into.

Two Great $1 Store Items

You have to be careful when you go to the $1.00 store. Just because it's a DOLLAR doesn't mean you HAVE TO BUY IT! However, if you're looking for a birthday card, or any card, they're TWO for $1.00! Also, gift bags are $1.00 and sometimes you can get 2 or more in a set for $1.00. I've posted about dollar stores before, and I love going to the dollar store, but you really have to be choosey about what you buy. The pictures below are from The Dollar Tree.

The Dollar Tree usually has a wide selection of gift bags to choose from. Most stores sell gift bags for $3.00 or more PER BAG! Why pay such a high price for gift bags and cards when you can get them for so much less at a dollar store?

*Don't forget the tissue paper while you're there!

Must Have Winn-Dixie Deals

These are just a few of the great deals I took advantage of today at Winn-Dixie:

Buy 1 Get 1 FREE Kraft Mayo $4.99 (makes them $2.50 each)

Buy 1 get 1 FREE Hunts Ketchup $2.59 (makes them $1.29 each)

Kraft Dressing $2.00

Taster's Choice Instant Coffee Sticks (pk. of 5) 0.99, $1 coupon FREE

Texas Pete Hot Sauce Buy 3 @ 0.99 each get $1.00 off, coupon on bottle

Heinz 57 Sauce Sale $3.49 (reg. price $4.29) $2 coupon making it $1.49
(I bought 2!)

Lea & Perrins W. Sauce Sale $2.49 (reg. price $2.99) $2 coupon making it 0.49 CENTS!
(I bought 2!)

It would've been great to have coupons on the B1G1's, but B1G1 is still a good deal to me!

Petsmart Trip

I went to Petsmart to get some doggie shampoo with oatmeal. I always check to see what's on sale. The Dentastix were $3.99 each, I had 2 $1.00 coupons making them $2.99 each. The Pedigree Breath Buster bones were $2.99, oatmeal shampoo $3.99 and oatmeal conditioner $3.99. I used a PETCO 25% off any 1 item on the shampoo making it $2.99. My total was $15.07 for all of it. I told myself I only wanted to spend about $15 total on good shampoo, once I talked to a really knowledgable sales associate, she recommended this shampoo and conditioner, rather than a medicated one. I had $7 to play with, I think I did pretty good. I wish I could remember her name to say thank you for all her help with Sox. This was his first trip to Petsmart, he did good, but he did pee on the floor! It had to be all the animal smells. I want to say thanks to Matt as well. He's usually working when we go in and has always been very helpful. He let me know that Petsmart DOES take Petco coupons.

Benadryl (best deal yet!)

The retail price for these are $2.38 EACH at Wal-Mart. I had 2 $4.00 off coupons on any 2 Benadryl products. I paid about $1.44 for ALL 4 itch relief sticks! SCORE!

Michael's Deal

Look what I got at Michael's yesterday:
woof doggie bowl (leaving this in the car for Sox) 0.30 CENTS on clearance
zebra print ribbin 0.50 cents on clearance
zebra print paper clips 1.00
Total: $1.80 :)

Coupon Lingo By Donna L. Montaldo

The following list has been taken from: I hope it was ok I copied it. I figured anyone can visit the website and print the list out. You're going to find that "couponing" has it's own language, this list will help!

Coupon Lingo Made Easy
Popular Acronyms Used On Coupon Lists and Coupon Forums
By Donna L Montaldo, Guide

•AC - After Coupon - Generally refers to the price after the coupon is deducted)

•AR - After Rebate - Generally refers to the price after the rebate is deducted)

•Blinkies - Blinkies (Smart Source Coupon Machines) are small red dispensers that blink in order to attract shoppers. They contain coupons and are usually located on store shelves in front of the promoted product. The coupons can be used in any store which accepts coupons. That means if you find a blinkie at Albertsons you can use it at Kroger, WalMart or any other store that accepts manufacturer's coupons.

•BOGO, B1G1 - Buy One Get One. If all you see is BOGO, it generally means if you buy one item, then you get one (usually the same item) for free. But it is also used to promote other "Buy One" promotions, such as BOGO1/2P - which means, if you buy one you will get the second one at half price.

•B1G1F - Always means, Buy One Get One Free.

•BTFE - Box Tops for Education (School reward program)

•B&M - Brick & Mortar stores which are stores with a physical address rather than online stores.

•CATALINA or CAT - These coupons printed separately from the grocery store receipt although they are printed on receipt-like paper and handed to the customer. The coupons can be used at the store where you received them.
Tip: Because of the type of paper CAT coupons are printed on, it is best to use them as soon as possible. They tend to self destruct.

•CLFE - Campbell's Labels for Education (School reward program)

•CNP - Coupon Near Product - When a coupon is displayed near a product.

•CPN - Coupon

•CRT - Cash Register Tape

•DND - Do not Double

•DOUBLE COUPON - Value of the coupon can be doubled. Often times grocery stores will have days where the value of a coupon is doubled. For example, if you had a coupon for dog food for .50 cents off, on a double coupon day the coupon would be redeemed for $1.00 off or double of face value of the coupon.

•EB/ECB - ExtraCare Bucks you can use at CVS/pharmacy only.

•ES, ESR - Easy Saver Rebate program from Walgreens.

•ETA - Edited to Add

•MIR - Mail in Rebate

•NED - No Expiration Date

•OOP - Out of Pocket

•OOS - Out of Stock

•OYNO - On Your Next Order

•P&G - Proctor & Gamble

•Peelie - Peelies are coupons attached directly to the product. Tip: Remove the coupon stickers from the item and hand it to the cashier when you check out. Generally cashiers will not deduct the price unless you hand them the peelie coupon. Peelies (for the most part) can only be used in the store where you found it.

•PSA - Prices Starting At

•Q - Coupon

•RC - Raincheck

•RP - Red Plum Sunday Supplement Coupons

•RR - Register Rewards (Walgreens)

•SS - Smart Source coupons insert found in the Sunday newspaper. Also may refer to Sunday Suppliment coupons.

•TIA - Thanks in advance

•TRIPLE COUPON - a coupon that a grocery store triples in value

•UPC - Universal Product Code

•WT - Winetag - These are coupon cards or rebate cards which are placed over the neck of wine bottles or other products packaged in bottles and jars. Many times the coupons are for related food products and do not specify that a purchase of the bottled item is required. Example - A bottle of Kaluha might have a collar coupon for a specific brand of ice cream.
