A Catalina machine is the machine next to the cash register at many stores. It "spits out" coupons once you've made your purchase. The coupons are meant to be used on your next purchase. For example, Winn-Dixie prints out Winn-Dixie coupons like $10.00 off a $50.00 purchase. It also prints out ads, various announcements and promotions. At Walgreens your Register Rewards are printed from a Catalina machine. *Publix takes Winn-Dixie coupons.
